She placed the cold body on the tabletop, her fingers softly prodding the wet, clammy skin. Grabbing the large, shiny knife from the drawers, she carefully pressed the tip against the side of the body as it sprung open at the instance of the knife’s promising sharpness.

Smiling at the efficiency of her well-chosen tool, she began to slice it apart with practically no mercy and carefully lay the dissected body open. With equal gusto, she slid the knife underneath the bones, prying them out with her fingers as the bright red flesh began to pool up beneath her long fingernails and stain her well-manicured cuticles.

Carefully bundling up the bones in the trash and mindfully running through the body in attempts of clearing undesired leftovers from the kill, she began to cut the body, finally decapitating it with one last, satisfying swing of the knife as it resounded against the tabletop with a dull thud.

Just then, a shadow loomed behind her as she startlingly whipped around ; her slender, blood-stained fingers tightly grasping the knife.

“Fried fish for dinner?”

“Boneless – just the way you like it, my love.”
